Rosemary Krause and Janey Brandt founded Wauwatosa Day Care and Learning Centers in 1974. Rosemary and Janey created a community treasure, one that their daughters continue to operate with their mother’s original values in mind. To this day, Wauwatosa Day Care and Learning Centers continues to serve the Wauwatosa community in a partnership that is family friendly, and most importantly child centered.
Meet Your Leadership Team
Colleen Heinowski is an administrator for Wauwatosa Day Care and Learning Centers and is a wife and mother of three children. As part of the Wauwatosa community since 1986 and a second-generation owner, Colleen has successfully co-owned and guided Wauwatosa Day Care and Learning Centers since 2004. Under her leadership, Wauwatosa Day Care continues to be a highly accredited and recognized community childcare center.
When people ask Colleen to describe herself, she doesn’t hesitate to say that first and foremost she is Tim, Alison and Tommy’s mom. It is this “children first” attitude that has made Colleen so successful in her decision-making at Wauwatosa Day Care.
Mary Beth Krause
Mary Beth Krause has been a teacher, administrator and co-owner at Wauwatosa Day Care and Learning Centers since 1983. Mary Beth has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood and an Administrators Credential in Early Childhood. Inspired by her experiences at Wauwatosa Day Care and Learning Centers, Mary Beth has developed an outlook on early childhood – an outlook that focuses on motivational/fun activities and a love for learning. Mary Beth wants an exciting and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
When Mary is not busy at the Daycare, you will probably find her with family, or in Door County, enjoying the scenic beauty of the area.
Danielle Rageth has been the director for Wauwatosa Day Care and Learning Centers since 2005. Danielle obtained the Wisconsin Professional Credential for Child Care Administrators from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 2006, and has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Waukesha County Technical College.
Starting as a preschool teacher for Wauwatosa Day Care and Learning Centers in 2001, Danielle soon realized her passion was in forging and expanding relationships with the entire family of the children in her classroom. Over the years as director, Danielle has developed programs that has delivered high-quality childcare experiences to thousands of children and their families. It is Danielle’s emphasis on family that makes Wauwatosa Day Care and Learning Centers a highly sought-after childcare option.
Outside of her time at the centers, you will find Danielle spending quality time with her family -husband Dave and daughters, Alison and Lily.
