Education and Training
At Wauwatosa Day Care, we take great pride in the education and training of our teaching staff. The safety, development, and well-being of the children in our care depend on having knowledgeable, compassionate, and well-prepared educators. That is why we ensure our teachers meet or exceed the standards set by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families.
Our teachers come from a variety of educational backgrounds, with various holding associate or bachelor’s degrees in early childhood education, child development, or related fields.
Aside from individuals holding a degree, we also support alternative pathways to becoming a qualified early childhood educator. Teachers may begin their careers by completing entry-level training courses that are fully approved by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families.
Whether through college degree programs or certified training courses, all our teachers are dedicated to ongoing professional development. They participate in continuing education and training opportunities throughout the year to stay current with best practices, licensing requirements, and the evolving needs of young learners.
First Aid & CPR Certified
At Wauwatosa Day Care and Learning Centers, every staff member is First Aid & CPR certified to ensure the highest level of safety for your child. CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training equips our teachers with the knowledge and skills to respond quickly and effectively in the event of an emergency.
Young children are naturally curious and energetic, which can sometimes lead to unexpected situations. That is why it is essential for our caregivers to be prepared to act confidently and immediately.
Your child’s well-being is our top priority, and having a First Aid & CPR-certified team is just one of the many ways Wauwatosa Day Care goes above and beyond to maintain a safe, secure, and responsive environment every day.
